A client in Johannesburg asked me to create a completely reversible, two-coloured jacket in Corduroy. He chose the two delicious colours you see but left the rest up to me.

While I typically make button up jackets, this request required for a double sided zip to be added so that the client could open and close the jacket whichever way he wore it. A few adjustments to the pattern later, I had a reversible pattern ready for cutting.

My biggest lesson with this project was learning how zips functioned. I couldn’t find two-way zips anywhere for sale in South Africa. So I made my own. It’s a little finicky but for a first try I was happy.

Two jackets in the same jacket. So much room for opportunity.

I love how the colours are bold enough to stand alone but go so well together too.

Perfect for a Pablo Pose by the Pool. *HTH not included.

I have recently done a lot of testing on this corduroy fabric and am happy to share that DTF works beautifully. Future custom requests will have this service included.
